KRZYSZTOF MIANOWSKI „Kylu“, Berlin/Polen
entwickelte seine Begeisterung für Musik in der Jugendzeit als Gitarrist, Bassist und Schlagzeuger in Progressiv-, Metall- und Rockbands, entdeckte dann als Drummer den Funk und tauchte immer mehr in die Welt der Perkussionsinstrumente ein. Mit 25 Jahren erste Berührung mit Samba, was ihn zu Begegnungen mit den Batucada-Mestres der Rio-Sambaschulen Portela, Mocidade, Imperio Serrano oder Tijuca brachte. Seit dieser Zeit ist Kylu ein gefragter Workshopleiter sowie gern gesehener Gast auf zahlreichen internationalen Sambafestivals.
In der Berliner Sambaschule „Sapucaiu no Samba“ wirkt er in leitender Funktion und als Komponist, beim Bloco-X, einem internationalen Samba-Projekt, spielt er die erste Repinique.

A berlin based percussionist, musician, componist and DJ. Developed his musical passion in his youth as a guitar, base player and a drummer in different progressiv, rock, and metal bands. Later on during his studies he discovered the world of funk and started more and more to commit his life to the percussion. It was just a matter of time to discover the SAMBA and leave almost everything behind. During his afro-brasilian education he was learning from mestres of the biggest and most known Rio samba schools: Mocidade, Portela, Imperio Serrano, Tijuca. The journey didn’t stop in Rio. He also studied such music directions as samba de coco, samba reggae, candomble, Roda de samba. In Berlin he plays and co-leads the local samba school “Sapucaiu no Samba”. He is also one of the lead repinique in the International samba project “Bloco X” and active in different musical Projects around Europe. He runs his youtube channel about Brazilian percussion (Timbal, Repinique, Conga, Roda de Samba) and gives percussion workshops around Europe.
